DEX Listing Checklist for New Tokens
A checklist for making a new token tradable on decentralised exchanges, covering pool setup, token lists, aggregator visibility, logos, verification and scam defence.

Decentralised exchanges let anyone create a trading pool for a token. That openness is powerful and also creates confusion. Within hours of a launch, several pools may exist, some with fake tokens using the same name. A careful DEX listing process helps users find the real token and trade it with confidence.
Before creating a pool
- Verify the token contract on the block explorer
- Confirm name, symbol and decimals match your documentation
- Prepare a high-quality square logo
- Decide the trading pair, often your token against USDC or the chain's native asset
- Decide initial price and liquidity depth
- Choose whether to lock liquidity and with which tool or multisig
- Publish an official links page on your website
Creating the pool
- Use the DEX's official interface from a bookmarked URL
- Select the correct token contract by pasting the address rather than searching by name
- Double-check the pair, fee tier and price range if using concentrated liquidity
- Add liquidity from a team wallet or multisig as planned
- Record the pool address and transaction hash
- Lock or transfer the liquidity position as announced
Share the pool address on your website right away.
Token lists and wallet visibility
Many wallets and DEX interfaces use token lists to show names and logos and to mark tokens as recognised. Without inclusion, users may see warnings or need to import the token manually.
| Visibility step | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Submit to relevant token lists | Recognised names and logos in interfaces |
| Add logo to block explorer profile | Consistent branding on explorer pages |
| Update explorer token information | Official website and social links shown |
| Submit to data aggregators once trading | Price and market data visibility |
| Check aggregator routing | Trades find your pool through aggregators |
Each platform has its own submission process and requirements. Follow official documentation.

Aggregators and routing
DEX aggregators route trades across pools for the best price. If your pool is on a supported DEX with enough liquidity, aggregators often include it automatically. Test by trading small amounts through popular aggregators and confirming they route through your pool.
Defending against fake tokens
Scammers deploy tokens with your name and symbol and create pools to catch buyers. Reduce the damage:
- Publish the contract address only from your website and official accounts
- Tell users to paste the contract address rather than search by name
- Share direct trade links that include the contract address
- Report fake tokens to token list maintainers and data aggregators
- Pin warnings in community channels with examples
After listing
Monitor pool health in the first days:
- Liquidity depth and price impact for typical trades
- Large trades and unusual activity
- Whether other pools with your token appear, official or not
- User reports of trouble finding or trading the token
Update your official links page whenever you add pools or change liquidity arrangements.
Common mistakes to avoid
A few errors appear again and again in new token launches on decentralised exchanges:
- Creating the pool from a search result that picked a lookalike token
- Setting the initial price with the token amounts reversed
- Choosing a concentrated liquidity range that falls out of use within minutes
- Forgetting to lock or transfer the liquidity position as announced
- Announcing the pool before it exists, which gives scammers time to create fakes
Running the whole sequence on a testnet or a mainnet fork first catches most of these before real money is involved.
Make verification easy
Users check several places before buying a new token. Consistency across your website, explorer profile, token lists and other public profiles, such as a Proud Globe pin linking to your official site, helps them confirm they have found the real token.
