Token Launches
Token Launch Checklist: The Last 60 Days
A week by week checklist for the final 60 days before a token launch, covering contracts, audits, liquidity, communications, listings and launch day roles.

Token launches go wrong in predictable ways. A contract gets deployed with the wrong parameter. The liquidity plan changes the night before. The community hears about the date from a leak instead of the team. Most of these problems start weeks earlier, when nobody wrote down who owned which task.
This checklist covers the last 60 days. It assumes you already know why the token exists and roughly how supply will be distributed. If you do not, stop and settle that first, because everything below depends on it.
Days 60 to 45: lock the fundamentals
The first two weeks are for decisions that are expensive to change later.
- Finalise total supply, allocation percentages and vesting schedules in one document
- Choose the launch chain and the venues where the token will first trade
- Freeze the token contract feature set, with no new functions after this point
- Book a smart contract audit and confirm the delivery date in writing
- Decide who holds treasury keys and set up a multisig with named signers
- Pick the launch date and a backup date one week later
Write the decisions in a single shared page with a change log. When someone asks "did we decide on the vesting cliff?", the answer should take ten seconds to find.
Days 45 to 30: build and verify
With the design frozen, the work shifts to execution.
- Deploy contracts to a testnet and run the full launch sequence end to end
- Send contracts to auditors and plan time to fix findings
- Prepare the liquidity plan, including the amount, the pair and who adds it
- Draft the token page for your website with supply, allocations, contracts and vesting
- Create a public FAQ covering claim steps, fees, dates and official links
- Set up monitoring for contract events and large transfers
Testnet rehearsals find the boring errors, such as a decimals mismatch or a missing approval step. A full rehearsal takes an afternoon and prevents most launch day panics.

Days 30 to 15: prepare the public
Now tell people what is coming, in a controlled way.
- Announce the launch window, not the exact hour, to reduce sniping
- Publish the tokenomics page and invite questions in a dedicated channel
- Brief moderators on common questions and scam patterns
- Prepare announcement posts for X, Telegram, Discord and your blog
- Line up any listings, sponsored articles or placements for launch week
- Confirm exchange or aggregator listing requirements and submit forms
Scammers watch announcements closely. Tell your community clearly that the team will never DM them, will never ask for seed phrases and will only share contract addresses from the official website.
Days 15 to 1: rehearse and harden
The final stretch is for rehearsal and protection.
| Task | Owner | Done when |
|---|---|---|
| Final audit report published | Tech lead | Report linked on website |
| Mainnet deployment dry run | Tech lead | Script runs cleanly on a fork |
| Launch day timeline written | Project lead | Every step has a time and a name |
| Social accounts secured | Community lead | Hardware keys on all admin accounts |
| Official links page live | Marketing | Website, contracts and socials on one page |
| Support rota confirmed | Community lead | Moderators scheduled across time zones |
Run a full launch day rehearsal with the team on a call, using the written timeline. Time each step. If the rehearsal overruns, the real day will too.
Launch day
On the day, stick to the plan. Deploy, verify contracts on the block explorer, add liquidity, then publish the contract address from the official website first and the social accounts second. Pin the official links everywhere.
Keep one person free of tasks whose only job is to watch for problems: fake tokens, impersonator accounts, broken links and confused users. That person will be the busiest one on the team by the afternoon.
The week after
Post a short recap within 48 hours with what went well, what went wrong and what happens next. Publish vesting dates again. Keep the FAQ updated with new questions.
Launch week is also when people look for the project in more places. A Launch Pack on Proud Globe combines a glowing Landmark pin, a Sponsor Week and a Sponsored Article, so new holders find an official, labelled page with the right links.
